A very rare group of antique yacht photos from 1882 relating to Marblehead. In August 1882 the New York Yacht Club and the Seawanhaka Yacht Club paid a visit to the Eastern Yacht Club during their annual cruise. The EYC sponsored a series of races as depicted in these photos, with some boats owned by EYC members. The races were mentioned in the August 24th issue of Field and Stream as well as in Frederick Cozzens book Yachts and Yachting.
